As believers in God and Yeshua we have access to the Holy Spirit, the Ruach Hakodesh.  In order to walk in the covenant that we have been given, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit.  He is the power whereby Yeshua walked in holiness and did the mighty miracles we have recorded in the Bible.  He told us before he left for heaven that we would do greater works than he had done because the Father was sending the Holy Spirit, The Comforter.  A mere man cannot lay hands on the sick and watch him recover, but with the infilling of the Holy Spirit the power of God is available!  An ordinary man cannot send out demons with a word, but a man filled with the Holy Spirit can send the adversary running!  The commandments of God are just 10 words in the midst of many words God has spoken to us as instructions.  If you spend time in the word, in study and prayer you will get a far bigger picture of what God wants and expects from us.  We are told in OUR covenant, the NEW covenant that if we love God with all our being and love our neighbor as we love ourselves we fulfill all the torah and the prophets! How awesome is that? Take the time to compare the laws of the Old with the laws of our NEW! We have a covenant made with better promises!

Never allow yourself to be discouraged or condemned by commandments and laws found in the bible.   Realize that only through the leading of the indwelling Holy Spirit can anyone ever do the will of the Father.  If you aren't filled with the Holy Spirit, ask the Father to fill you now.  You must first receive Yeshua as your Lord.  You must walk as he walked and accept his life, death and resurrection.  You must accept that Yeshua was God's last and best provision for the payment of our sin.  We by nature of Adam are fallen beings.  We were sold into slavery to satan by our father Adam's behavior.  Yeshua ransomed us and made a way for us to be "reborn" and once again able to receive the Spirit of God into our souls.  After we are baptized to repentance from dead works of the flesh we can then receive the Holy Spirit for a holy life.

Ask now.

These words are commandments, eternal commandments and not suggestions.  So if we want to love God with all our hearts, soul and strength, we should keep them.  Let's look at them closer. We don't follow the commandments for righteousness, but know that because Yeshua/Jesus has made us righteous by HIS sacrifice, we will love God and walk in His will. If we live filled with the Holy Spirit and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit we WILL NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Ex 20:1-17
20:1 And God spoke all these words:
2 "I am the L-rd your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
  1. 3 "You shall have no other Gods before me.
  2. 4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the L-rd your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand [ generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments.
  3. 7 "You shall not misuse the name of the L-rd your God, for the L-rd will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
  4. 8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the L-rd your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the L-rd made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the L-rd blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy".
  5. 12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the L-rd your God is giving you".
  6. 13 "You shall not murder".
  7. 14 "You shall not commit adultery".
  8. 15 "You shall not steal".
  9. 16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor".
  10. 17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
