What is salvation? If we take the time to think about it, salvation
applies to many levels. If a sick man is drowning in the ocean, he needs
to be rescued on two levels. First he needs immediate rescuing from
drowning, second he needs healing in body. This is a picture of the
average person. We need to be rescued from the dangers of everyday
living, but we also need to be rescued from our state of sin and death living
within us. That is precisely what Yeshua did for us. His pure
life, sacrificial torment and death, and his resurrection bought us
deliverance from the peril of everyday life and eternal death. The
following words were prophesied hundreds of years before Yeshua walked on the
earth. They describe exactly what and why he lived and suffered for
us.
Isaiah 53:5-54:1
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. This scripture speaks of the healing and forgiveness we need.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own
way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. There isn't one
person who doesn't need what he provides as we all have turned from the
Father.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the
slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was the Passover lamb, he was crucified on Passover, and he didn't
raise a word in his own defense so that he would be freed from the torment,
suffering and death he was about to suffer.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His
generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. The things he suffered weren't because of any fault of his own, but were
done as the substitution for those who were guilty (us).
9 And they made His grave with the wicked--But with the rich at His
death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yeshua
was buried in a rich man's tomb, Yoseph of Arimethea.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for
sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the
Lord shall prosper in His hand. His life, death and resurrection were part
of a plan created before the foundations of time. God knew we would fall
and would need rescuing. God also knew that the sacrifice would be worth
the price. He desires to walk and talk with men in the cool of the
day. He desires to walk and talk with YOU.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify
many, For He shall bear their iniquities. His faith was that men would
receive this plan and would choose to serve and love a creator who would go
through so much to assure that they would be able to walk in the presence of a
Holy God. At creation God looked at what he'd done and said "it is
good". He now looks at the children who come to Him and to the work
His Son Yeshua did and says "it is good".
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the
strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the
transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors. Yeshua has received the reward for his work, us.
NKJV
If you desire to be adopted into the family of God, you must make the
decision to turn from sin and death. Our original father Adam, sold us
into sin and death. The last Adam, Yeshua/Jesus bought our freedom. When
you receive his substitutiary payment for sins and death, you have to turn
from them and run towards the righteousness (right standing with Father God) provided through Yeshua/Jesus. Salvation is a free gift, but a costly one nonetheless.
You merely accept it and then decided to allow it to work in you. This
also means you give up everything you have and are in exchange for everything
God is. You consider
yourself dead to sin, dead to sickness, dead to poverty, dead to lack, dead to
wickedness and alive to right standing and right behavior. You decide to
listen to God's voice and to shun the voice of wickedness. If you'd like
to do this and to share that you've done it, repeat the following
prayer. Once you've done this, please email me and I'll do my best to
share a few steps to hearing God's voice and following it.
Dear Father God,
I need the life of your Messiah Yeshua living through me. I am a sinner and
need rescued. I believe that Yeshua lived a pure life according to your
Torah, and when he had fulfilled all righteousness listened and obeyed your
Holy Spirit. I believe that he died for all my sins, my poverty, my sickness,
and the death dwelling in me. You brought
him back from the dead because he was pure and he is now seated on your right hand. He is
there right this very second, interceding for me. Please receive me into
Your family and fill me with Your Holy Spirit, the breath of love and life
itself. By Your Spirit comfort me in hard times, encourage me, direct
me and help me overcome the things I've learned by having death dwelling in
me. Thank You. I receive all this in the name of Your Holy Son Yeshua. Amen.
Now email me and testify to the seed of eternal life that has been planted
within your heart. You will have to nurture that seed and guard it from
the adversary. After all, it's because of the adversary that sin came to
be in the first place. God has dealt with him, but part of his dealing
is through us. We are to become the manifested "sons"
(children) of God. This requires a life dedicated to finding the
treasure of doing God's will.
